If you know anything about music, surely you recognize this newly famous curly head. Esperanza Spalding exploded onto the big time music scene when she unexpectedly won the Best New Artist Grammy award earlier this year. At only 25 years old she has mastered more than five instruments, and is one of the youngest professors to teach at Berklee College of Music.
Spalding has quite a racial heritage that includes Welsh, Native American, Black, and Hispanic. Add all of these together and you have on top of her head a beautiful pile of curls. Depending on where you see her, they may be spraying from every inch of her head like a water fall. Or they might be gathered into a messy heap on top of her head. No matter when or where you see her, you will see her lovely head of hair in all of its glory.
If what they say is true, and your hair really is an expression of your personality…Spalding is certainly someone worth getting to know.
